Subject: TLB Newsletter-January 2012 Love thinks the best, Nuts and
UFFOs
Categories: Band/Ministry
Greetings to you all from the Travis Lee Band!
These past few months have been quite wonderful, drinking in the serene
beauty of our cozy cabin and surroundings.
We have immensely enjoyed the time with our families, friends and our
course our little Arrow.
All the while, God has continued to stir
in us a passion to do His work. We have been doing some songwriting and hope to
have the means to make another album this year.
Dwelling on all God has done, we are
reminded of the hymn “Great is Thy
Faithfulness” which states in its lyrics, “All I have needed Thy hand hath
provided, great is Thy faithfulness, Lord unto me.” He is so good and continues to grant His
abundant provisions every step of the way.
TLB will continue this Faithwalk as long as the Lord wills. For we know and are reminded in Romans 8:28
that “God works all things to the good of those who LOVE GOD and are called
according to His purpose.”
WOW!
What an awesome promise! Our
desire is to walk in His perfect will and in doing so, we are certain that God
will work everything together for good.
TLB has been in a season of much prayer, seeking God to reveal His
vision for us in 2012. Please join us in
prayer for many doors to open allowing us opportunities to minister, more
songs, the finances to record another album and God’s perfect provision as we
gear up for a brand new Faithwalk… touring with Arrow! J
Trust in Him Always, Travis Lee,
Allegra and Arrow
Arrow Alert
Our little weapon
for the Lord is growing so quickly. He is a few days shy of four months and
already 15 and a half pounds. He has
been busy cooing, flapping, kicking, raising his head and eating VERY
often. Arrow is a beautiful, happy,
healthy baby and we are so blessed that God has given him to us. He is currently in the beginning phases of
teething so please pray for our little guy.
Are we going nuts?
Not long after the
Christmas holiday, Allegra was in the process of putting away the laundry while
low and behold she stumbled across acorn-like nuts in some of Arrow’s clothing
drawers. Curious about the crafty
critter who had been busy, she searched the closet and found several more stashes
of the same type of nut. They were
perfectly hulled, sculpted and smooth.
Could we be cohabitating with a squirrel? Pretty certain mice do not gather nuts, or do
they? The couple hopes to catch the
nesting little nutter very soon. J Stay tuned….
2012 Vision

Love thinks the best
Travis and Allegra
decided to spend a beautiful and atypically warm January day taking little
Arrow on a jog in his jogging stroller. Three quarters of the way, the couple
noticed a car approaching.
Suddenly, a minivan, going quite
fast, sped up and dangerously passed the car they saw first. All of this
happening on a one-lane gravel road where they were jogging. With little time to think, the duo quickly
pushed Arrow’s stroller off the road while leaping away from the vehicle.
After the hurried
vehicle passed, feelings of frustration welled up within them. “Especially with a young couple and a baby
in view, why would someone do that?”
About 5 minutes
later, the same van pulled up alongside them , rolled down the window and the
driver apologized for his recklessness. He
revealed to them that his wife was rushed to the hospital and was undergoing a
major surgery at that very moment. He
was trying to get to the hospital as quickly as possible. Right then,
Travis asked the man for his wife’s name so that they could pray for
her. The man appreciatively offered her name and was genuinely thankful.
Needless to say
they were quite humbled, now knowing and understanding his heart. Travis and Allegra quickly bowed their heads
and prayed for the man and his wife. All
the while thanking God for His gentle reminder that LOVE thinks the best!
Travis evades close
encounter with UFFO (Unidentified Furry
Falling Object)
Travis Lee found
himself in a defensive duck-and-cover position on his way to the car one cool
morning this winter. Opening the door to his S-10 pick-up, he heard a loud
cracking sound resonating directly above him.
Fearing the consequence of looking up at whatever object was
spontaneously tumbling down upon him from the adjacent trees, he immediately threw
his hands over his head and tucked down to the ground to lessen the damage of
the impending, imminent impact.
As Travis crouched
down bracing for whatever was crashing down, he heard a
commanding thud strike the ground just inches from his feet. Cocking his head to the right side, Travis
observed what appeared to be a furry,
overfed squirrel knocked silly from either a shortfall jump or failed attempt
at flight. The stunned rodent took a few
moments to regain its composure and then glanced at the bewildered human he had
narrowly missed. The staggering squirrel
then quickly retreated back to the trees for safety.
